Thanksgiving Break

As I sit back and reflect on the past break, I can't believe it flew by so fast. I guess that is what happens when one has a lot of fun. In a way, it was drudgery coming back. No homework, amazing food. On the food subject, I imagine a lot of my family would like my thoughts on the food in the cafeteria down here at LeTourneau. Well, despite my thoughts that it wasn't going to be too bad, I have changed my mind. In fact, I probably changed it after the first week. Let me say that I'm sick of the food, and can't wait to get more home-cooked food. I think I appreciate this a lot more now...

I survived countless bombardments from my little cousins, especially those Banek boys. There was quite a little gathering though for Thanksgiving. There were the Baneks (minus Erica and Matthew, who are in Idaho), the Mark Hoyts (not including Greg, though, which was somewhat sad), Nathan, Elizabeth and their little baby, and Elizabeth's sister Lydia and her husband, Isaac, with their two small children, Katrina and another name I forgot. It was a great time, and we played endless board games.

Another high point of the break was the book I got to read. Dune is quite a sci-fi book, and I enjoyed it immensely. I might have to get my hands on more Dune stuff... Oh, mother dear, if you need any more ideas for presents, I'm sure Ardith knows some good sci-fi books. I also enjoyed the music to The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe very much...

Well, I guess I'll end there. It is my last day of freedom before classes, and of course, finals.

Thanksgiving breaks during college are just too short to believe, aren't they? I'm glad you got to spend it with the Texas clan. Don't worry, finals will go fast too. Just stick it out a little more and you'll get a real break. And try not to starve to death before then 'cause we want to see you at the wedding. :)

The voices is back and the voice is bored. So it torments those who do not know it. As for a hint the voice has too much time on its hands thats your hint.

Don't worry, Jason, there are more interested people than a bored voice checking your blog regularly.
