Career Fair

Well, I went to the Career Fair today. I also dressed up for about the third time in my life (dressed up, as in wearing a tie). I must say I looked very nice, but, well, I won't go into that. :)

I went with Dr. Varnell and we went directly to the Rockwell Collins booth first. I turned in my pitiful resume, and got some info back. Only a few minutes later, I was accosted by someone else from Rockwell Collins who had seen the name Hoyt on my resume. She went over a few things with me, and told me to email a more updated and detailed resume to her in a week or so. She also said that they were taking some Freshman in for internships, so I guess there is a little hope of something productive this summer. I try not to keep my hopes up, but this was kind of a surprise for Dr. Varnell also.

I was disappointed Ardith wasn't there though... I guess she has no say in the matter. :)

Well done, son :-)

Feel free to tell them I am your mother, if you think that would help...

Although, it's possible he could use the excuse of not really knowing the order of the months...

Except he has to know the order of these last six months since they spell his name.
